Natalie Alice.. my baby!

I took Natalie to the DR. last week for a rash she had behind her ear that wasnt getting better and looked infected. It was all red and had puss in it so it was time to take her in and have it looked at. It is the whole backside of her ear. Dr. said she has dermatitis and that it would always be there and have flair ups and so on. He prescribed her some antibiotic ointment and an oral antibiotic because it was pretty infected. I also brought to his attention that Natalie seems to have a little bit of a hearing issue. She was having problems with certain tones. She could hear me talking alright but I just have noticed over the last year that she was having issues with the TV and music and things like that. She also has a strong speech problems as well and she ALWAYS talks to us sooooo loudly. So I asked him about it and he did a hearing screening right then and sure enough she is what they call "Tone deaf" and he referred us to the specialist. I am a bit concerned but know that she will be fine with all of todays technology and that she isnt completely deaf she just has problems with lower tones. She completely failed the lower tones on the hearing test. :( I will keep you all informed and updated after we see the specialist.

Fort Bragg, CA

December 22nd and 23rd we spent in Fort Bragg. What an amazingly beautiful place. I had never been there. Reminded me alot of Morro Bay, CA back home. I love the ocean and the beach and could spend hours there listening to the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore. Although it was freezing cold I loved it and enjoyed every minute of being there with Steve and my girls. Such an amazing coastline. Steve and I took the girls to glass beach and they threw rocks into the water and collected some things and played for awhile while I took some photos and just enjoyed the scenery and enjoyed being with the ones I love more than anything. We spent the night and drove up Hwy 1 all the way home and that sure was breathtaking. Here are some photos from our trip to Fort Bragg...

Finally catching up...

I have been so super busy with work and my family I havent really had a chance to sit down and catch up on my blog. Since Christmas I have pretty much worked every day. I got one day off because I traded a day with a co-worker. Otherwise I would have worked 8 days straight. So I have been busy. I will rewind to before Christmas..

Decemeber 21st we had Christmas at my Dads house, Steve and the kids including his boys and I went to my Dads and stepmoms for Christmas at their house and my half sister Kristin was there with her family. Was great to see them again. Been a long time since I have seen them. Was a GREAT day. Steve arranged for a limo light tour and the kids loved it. Well I wont lie I LOVED it too. He spoils us. :) The kids had a wonderful day and so did I spent with the most wonderful people in the world and the most wonderful man in my life. Here are a few pictures from our day ...

Out with the OLD.. In with the NEW!

So 2008 has been an interesting year and a learning experience that is for sure. I am so ready to focus on a new year and a fresh start. I have alot to be thankful for. I have a great boyfriend and great friends who arent just friends when they wanna be. I have acquired a great bunch of new friends over the last year who have helped me out a great deal.

Alot of changes are going to be made in 2009. I am going to keep these changes to myself until they are ready to be made. :)

2008 sure had its ups and downs.. more downs than ups BUT it got me where I am today and that is a stronger person and I learned alot. I made a HUGE mistake and learned from it and that mistake haunts me everyday, I will never let anyone influence me again and I will never let myself be that vulnerable again. I said I would never live with regrets but I do, I have one HUGE regret. And I will live with it and move on with my life. Getting a divorce and leaving my husband was the best thing for me and my girls. I do not regret that one bit. It was time to move on with my life and leave him and the negativity that we had towards one another. It is amazing how different things are now that we are not together. We are friends and get along for the most part but I dont regret that one bit. That lead me to the most wonderful and caring man, my boyfriend Steve. He is so patient with me and sure we have had our ups and downs but who hasnt and if you can say you have a perfect relationship then I would love to know your secret. I confinded in some people I called friends and I shouldnt have and wont ever tell them my personal business again. I dont understand that. I feel I have been a good friend. All I have wanted to do was live my life the way I felt was best for me and my girls. I am getting off topic.

So I am leaving the old in 2008 behind me along with the drama and I am starting a new year with a bang.. Here is to a new year... New memories and new beginnings. Welcome 2009 with a bang. I am sad I wont get a midnight kiss. :( We both have to work at the madhouse tonight ... AHHHHHHH well guess I will get that and then some when he gets home. hehehe
