Happy 6th birthday sweet Emily

Hard to believe that six years ago today you were born.  You have sure grown and become a sweet, spunky, fiesty,  fun, smart and energetic little girl.  I love you just the way you are.

Six years ago today I went into labor on my own and went to the L&D told them I was in labor,  they checked me to see if my water was leaking and said it wasnt.  My contractions were not consistant but sure coming often.  So they sent me back home and said it would be a little while.  Mind you the dr had no idea I was being sent home, the nurse failed to call him.  I was a little upset cause I got sent home knowing that I was in labor.  So my mom and I leave and go to my sisters house about 5 mins away and I just kept getting worse.  Could barely talk through my contractions at this point.  When I left the hospital I was 1 1/2 cm dialated.  I made my mom call the Dr office before they went to lunch and the Dr was very upset he knew nothing about me leaving the L&D and said to get back there asap.  So off we went back to the :L&D.  At this time I am miserable and could not even walk across the parking lot to the wheelchair waiting for me at the front door.  I get back to L&D and my Dr meets me in the hallway.  He checks me and I am not almost 5 cm dialted.  I was moving fast.  You were determined to come out and see what the world had to offer.  It was 1:45 when I got back to L&D and had you at 7:22 pm October 15th 2003.  This was the fastest and easiest labor I had.  You were born weighing 6lbs 14oz and 19 inches long.  You were perfect in every way.

Winter weather...

I love this rainy wintery weather we have had all day.  I love the rain.  It smells so fresh outside.  Today was a pretty normal day.  Take girls to school and pick them up.  After we picked Natalie up we went to lunch and then came home and had some cuddle time and watched Trauma together under a blanket all cozy. 

The girls and I went for a drive and got a few neat photos.  Now I am in for the night and going to just relax.
