So 2008 has been an interesting year and a learning experience that is for sure. I am so ready to focus on a new year and a fresh start. I have alot to be thankful for. I have a great boyfriend and great friends who arent just friends when they wanna be. I have acquired a great bunch of new friends over the last year who have helped me out a great deal.
Alot of changes are going to be made in 2009. I am going to keep these changes to myself until they are ready to be made. :)
2008 sure had its ups and downs.. more downs than ups BUT it got me where I am today and that is a stronger person and I learned alot. I made a HUGE mistake and learned from it and that mistake haunts me everyday, I will never let anyone influence me again and I will never let myself be that vulnerable again. I said I would never live with regrets but I do, I have one HUGE regret. And I will live with it and move on with my life. Getting a divorce and leaving my husband was the best thing for me and my girls. I do not regret that one bit. It was time to move on with my life and leave him and the negativity that we had towards one another. It is amazing how different things are now that we are not together. We are friends and get along for the most part but I dont regret that one bit. That lead me to the most wonderful and caring man, my boyfriend Steve. He is so patient with me and sure we have had our ups and downs but who hasnt and if you can say you have a perfect relationship then I would love to know your secret. I confinded in some people I called friends and I shouldnt have and wont ever tell them my personal business again. I dont understand that. I feel I have been a good friend. All I have wanted to do was live my life the way I felt was best for me and my girls. I am getting off topic.
So I am leaving the old in 2008 behind me along with the drama and I am starting a new year with a bang.. Here is to a new year... New memories and new beginnings. Welcome 2009 with a bang. I am sad I wont get a midnight kiss. :( We both have to work at the madhouse tonight ... AHHHHHHH well guess I will get that and then some when he gets home. hehehe

Out with the OLD.. In with the NEW!

9 more days til Christmas
And I havent even started my Christmas shopping OOOOPS! I have so much to be greatful for and so much I am looking forward too. I am getting in the Christmas spirit now. I am looking forward to Christmas at my Dads with my family and Steve and his boys. I cant wait to build many many more memories with Steve and his kids. I just wanted to update since I havent sent a blog in awhile. Just been busy working and loving my life with the ones I love dearly. I will have lots of pictures soon to update my blog. :)

Its beginning to look alot like Christmas...
Everywhere I look.. We went and got our tree on Monday and got it all set up and Steves boys helped us decorate it and we got pictures. I am getting a little more excited about Christmas as it approaches. It is just creeping up way to fast and I havent even started shopping AT all. UGH!! I normally LOVE this time of year but things are so different and it is hard to get into a new tradition and new routine with me working so much. But we are getting there. I am so enjoying my new life with Steve and his kids and my kids and building a life together and making new memories. :) Here are some photos from getting our tree and decorating it.

Death Valley Adventure..
I was invited to go to Death Valley with Steve and his crew to go do a EMS event for a marathon. I had a great time. The girls stayed with my stepmom on Friday and then went to their dads for the weekend. We left early Friday morning to head to Death Valley. There was 4 of us that went (Steve, Me, Renee, and Brian.)
Saturday morning was the marathon and it was fun. Kinda uneventful but it was nice to just hang out with Steve out in the middle of now where and see what he does when he is on an event. I truly had a wonderful time. Once the marathon was over we went to the bar where they had the awards ceremony and we had some drinks and pizza and sat there and chatted and laughed and had fun.
We got up Sunday morning and headed home. I would do it all over again. It was great. I cant say it enough how much fun it was. It isnt very often that I get to go on a road trip and especially with someone I love. :) Here are some photos from our trip. Not many but a few. I have a ton but here are just a few.

My girls...
I took some photos of the girls yesterday.. It has been a VERY long time since I have really even picked up my camera. I have taken some snapshots here and there but havent brought out the BIG camera in awhile. So yesterday I decided to get a few photos of the girls in their cute winter hats. Nothing special but some photos of them. I did some of them seperate and some together. I love the one of them together I have posted. :)
I just havent been interested in my camera lately. I really dont know why. I just dont have the time for one and I guess working so much just has me busy. BUT this is going to change. I am not going to let me being busy be an excuse to miss doing something I enjoy so much.

Tranquility
Tranquility;

quality or state of being tranquil; calmness; peacefulness; quiet; serenity
Sometimes I just want to go back to that place and sit and watch the sunset everynight. I wish I could. I use to go there alot. I cant go there anymore. :( I used to live across from this empty field in Lincoln and would walk across the street with my camera and wait for this beautiful sunset and it was sooo calming and peaceful. Now where I use to sit to take the photo is all houses and that beautiful oak tree is surrounded by track houses. Makes me sad. I sure miss that sense of peace. I could go out there and just think and get things off my mind and go back home and feel better for a little while. Mother nature is a beautiful thing! When ever I start questioning my life and where it is heading and what pathes I have chosen, I always look at this photo and it brings me this sense of peace that I will be ok. I just wish I could return to this same spot in person and feel the sense of peace and calmness. Mother nature has a way of calming the soul.
