Natalie's hospital visit...

A couple weeks ago the girls were with their father, his girlfriend and her kids.  Their father took them to McDonalds and fed them and let them play at the playground.  I got a text message from Jason, after I had texted him about 20 mins prior telling him I would meet him in Roseville, he text me and told me to just meet him at Sutter Roseville.  I didn't think anything about the girls being hurt and I told him no that it was out of the way and to meet at the place I had told him.  So the phone rang and he told me that Natalie had probably broke her arm and she was screaming in the background and of course my motherly instincts kicked in and I started questioning him and getting upset.  Supposedly his girlfriends son and daughter were fighting and pushing each other and her daughter fell on Natalie's arm and Natalie pulled her arm out from under her.  So I rushed to the ER after telling Jason I wanted her to go to Kaiser,  not Sutter.  Just my preference. For many reasons.  So I called Steve and he left work as well.  He got there shortly after me.  By the time I got there Natalie was already in the back "waiting" room.  I went back there and sat with her,  she was doing ok as long as you didnt touch her arm.  It was a little swollen but not to bad.  So we got in our room and Steve got there.  We waited awhile for a x-ray and then waited forever for the DR. to read the x-ray. The Dr. comes in and says she doesnt see any fractures of breaks but she needs to do another x-ray to make sure.  So back to x-ray we went.  Good news!  No breaks for sure.  Was what the Dr thought it was,  Nursemaid elbow... basically a dislocation of the elbow.  OUCH!  Yea so now comes the painful part.  The Dr had to relocate the elbow.  The Dr tryed twice and couldnt get it relocated so she left the room and came back with a male Dr.  Natalie was so upset and in so much pain.  I was NOT happy.   But good thing the male Dr knew what he was doing.  He grabbed her arm and swung it around and pulled and pushed and within 10 seconds or less we heard a loud POP and Natalie screamed and cryed and it was over.  Her elbow was back in place and she was all better but sore.  :(  We waited for a little bit to make sure she could use it and then we were released to go home.  UGH!  She is perfectly fine now and back to normal.  But man that was a nightmare.  Poor kid.  Here are some photos of her in the hospital.

Last picture of Natalie all better at home with her Dr goodies. hehe
